Welcome to Sacred Heart Baseball and Softball Association’s 2012 season. This is our 55th year of providing recreational and tournament ball to children of the Rancocas Valley area, which includes the New Jersey communities of Hainesport, Mount Holly, Lumberton, Westampton and Eastampton.
In Person Registration Period has ended ... Online Registration now running through end of January
2012 Registration Period Now Underway Player Registrations will be accepted online (at your convenience) or in person (on the dates noted below).
You’ll be able to enter your information anytime through Jan. 31 with the ability to make payment online by credit card, all through a secure website.
Tips for Online Registration: -Initial User ID will be your Primary Email address to be used for league communication (you will be set up as a "member") -Each child being registered will also be set up as a "member". When registering a second child, they too will be set up as a "member" within your family profile -Please also enter the child's other parent as a "member" too.... this is the only way to have league emails sent to multiple email addresses. -Players new to Sacred Heart in 2012 should email a scanned copy of the child's birth certificate to our league email address. Returning players do not need to do this, as we've verified the information in prior years. -Payment can be made by check, even if online registration is done, however, you'll have to send it in to our PO Box. -Raffle tickets are prepaid at time of registration, and will be distributed during March through team coaches -Coach applications will need to be done "the old way"... and be sent in as a scanned email attachment or by regular mail. If you've registered your player online and still need the Coach Application, click here to download the Coach form in Excel format. Tip: Save the file to your computer before opening the file.
-IN PERSON REGISTRATION is now completed, after being accepted at Westampton Municipal Building during the following three sessions: Saturday January 14 (9:00 am-noon) Saturday January 21 (9:00 am-noon) Thursday January 26 (6:00 pm-7:45 pm)

Composite Bats: - Babe Ruth says "play on" Little League implemented a ban on composite bats (12/30/10) for ages 12 and under effective with the 2011 baseball season, however, Babe Ruth / Ripken (our governing body) reversed its' own idea of a ban and will continue to allow composite barrel bats in 2012 that are stamped "Babe Ruth approved" and "BPF 1.15", with barrels of not more than 2-1/4" in diameter. Don't be confused by discussion around BBCOR for ages 12 and under ....that level of bat certification is applicable only for divisions involving ages 13 and up. Nonetheless, be careful about buying an expensive bat ($175 and up) that you might not be permitted to use for more than one season if the rules change again.

We Need Your Help - Work Needed to be Done at CYO Complex There are a few left-over items from our old to-do list. Call for Volunteers: Please click hereto see if there are some things you can help us get accomplished this season.
Eligibility: Who Can Play in the Sacred Heart Program? The Sacred Heart CYO program is affiliated with the Babe Ruth / Ripken organization, which follows clear geographical boundaries that prohibit children from playing in a Babe Ruth / Ripken league outside their sanctioned area.
Baseball: Sacred Heart baseball can accept players that live in the Burlington county communities of Hainesport, Mt. Holly, Lumberton, Eastampton and Westampton. Essentially all other communities in our immediate surrounding area are included in the sending areas for other Babe Ruth / Ripken affiliated programs.
Softball: Sacred Heart softball can accept players that live in the communities of Hainesport, Mt. Holly, Lumberton, Eastampton and Westampton, and can also accept players that live in other nearby communities that do not have a Babe Ruth affiliated program. Please check with us regarding eligibility if you live in a nearby community other than the 5 communities in our core sending district. We welcome all eligible players!
Sacred Heart School students: Eligibility for playing in the Sacred Heart program is governed strictly by the regulations put into place by the Babe Ruth organization, which are based on residency. As such, while we enjoy and benefit from the relationship with Sacred Heart Parish, the league is not in a position to allow students to play in the Sacred Heart Baseball and Softball Association if they live in a community that is included in a competing Babe Ruth / Ripken program.
If you happen to move: Anyone that plays in the Sacred Heart program with a qualifying residence can continue playing at Sacred Heart after they move to another community that is part of another Babe Ruth affiliated program's sending area. Under those circumstances, proof of prior residency would need to be maintained. The player's eligibility at Sacred Heart would end once they sign up for another Babe Ruth affilitated program, or once they decide to not come back (even for one year).
Do these rules apply to all ages? Yes ... Sacred Heart is applying the residency rules for all ages in our programs, all the way down to t-ball.
Are You a Registered User at Sacred Heart's website? For 2012, you won't have to maintain a USER ID at THIS website.
